- 1Spell words formed from common Greek roots (bio, chron, graph, hydr, log, meter, path, phil, phon, photo, scope, tele, therm)
- 2Spell words formed from common Latin roots (aud, dict, ject, port, rupt, scrib/script, spect, struct, tract, vid/vis)
- 3Apply advanced Greek/Latin prefixes (anti-, circum-, contra-, inter-, micro-, multi-, poly-, sub-, super-, trans-) to base words
- 4Apply meaning-changing suffixes (-able/-ible, -ance/-ence, -ant/-ent, -ion/-tion/-sion, -ity, -ive, -ology, -ous/-ious) correctly
- 5Spell the limited set of words ending in -cede, -ceed, and -sede
- 6Apply suffix-addition rules (drop final e, change y to i, double final consonant) to multisyllabic bases
