What we collect
- Account info: your name, email, password (stored hashed), and US state.
- Family info you enter: each child’s name, grade, interests, your notes about them, your homeschool philosophy, scheduling preferences, and lesson reflections.
- Usage: the plans, lessons, and records created in your account, and basic activity needed to run the service.
- Payment: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
About children's information
The information about your children is entered and controlled by you, the parent or guardian, children are not our users and do not have accounts. We use that information only to generate your family’s materials and records. You can edit or delete it anytime.
How we use it
To provide the service: build your plans, recommend curriculum, write lessons and worksheets, track progress, and keep records. To do this we send relevant details to our AI providers to generate content. When you message support, we use your details to help you. We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with (service providers)
- OpenAI and xAI: power your coach and generate lessons, plans, worksheets, and curriculum recommendations.
- Stripe: processes payments.
- Our hosting/database providers: run the app and store your data securely.
Your choices & rights
You can view and edit your data in the app, and request deletion of your account and its data by emailing us. Depending on where you live (e.g. California, the EU), you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete your information, we honor those requests.
Data retention & security
We keep your data while your account is active and delete it on request. We use reasonable security measures (hashed passwords, encrypted connections), though no system is perfectly secure.
Cookies & ad measurement
We use a secure session cookie to keep you logged in, and a first-party cookie that remembers how you found us (for example, from a link we shared) so we know which of our efforts are working. If you arrive from one of our ads, the ad platform (such as Meta) may set a measurement pixel so we can tell the ad worked; we don’t sell your data or use it for anything beyond measuring our own ads.
Changes & contact
We’ll note material changes to this policy. Questions or requests: hello@arborhomeschool.com.
