1. What Arbor is
Arbor is a software tool that helps parents plan and run a homeschool — it generates plans, lessons, worksheets, and records, and offers an AI coach. Arbor is not a school.We are not accredited, we do not employ your child’s teacher, we do not issue diplomas, grades of record, or credentials, and we do not provide legal advice. You, the parent or guardian, are the educator and are responsible for your child’s education.
2. Your responsibility for legal compliance
Homeschooling laws differ by state and country (notification, recordkeeping, hours, testing, required subjects, and more). Arbor can help you organize materials and records, but you are solely responsible for understanding and meeting the legal requirements that apply to your family. We do not guarantee that anything Arbor produces satisfies any specific legal requirement.
3. AI-generated content
Lessons, worksheets, answer keys, resource suggestions, and coach responses are generated by artificial intelligence. They may contain mistakes, inaccuracies, or content you disagree with. Always review generated content before using it, and use your own judgment. Arbor makes no guarantee of accuracy, suitability, or any particular educational outcome.
4. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 and the parent or legal guardian of the children you add.
5. Subscriptions & billing
Arbor is billed per child, per month, through our payment processor (Stripe). A free trial is available as described at sign-up. You can cancel anytime; cancellation stops future charges and your access continues through the paid period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
6. Your content
The information you enter (your family details, notes, philosophy, and reflections) is yours. You grant Arbor a limited license to process it in order to provide the service (including sending it to our AI provider to generate your materials). Materials Arbor generates for you are yours to use for your family.
7. Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the service: no illegal activity, no attempting to breach security, no reselling generated content as your own product, no using Arbor to create harmful or abusive material.
8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
Arbor is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Arbor and its creators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for educational outcomes, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months.
9. Changes & termination
We may update these terms or the service; we’ll note material changes. You may stop using Arbor anytime. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
