Program terms

1. Joining

Anyone 18 or older can apply. We review every application and may approve or decline it for any reason. Once approved, you get a link of your own and a private dashboard. Keep your dashboard link to yourself.

2. What you earn

You earn 30% of every payment a family you refer makes to Arbor during their first 12 months, counted from their first payment. That includes monthly and yearly plans. It doesn’t include sales tax, fees charged by a payment platform, or money that is refunded or disputed.

3. Who counts as your referral

• A family counts as yours when they click your link and create a new Arbor account within 90 days, in the same browser.
• If they click more than one affiliate’s link, the last link they clicked before signing up counts.
• Accounts that already existed, your own account, and accounts for your own household don’t count.
• Our records decide who counts. If you think one was missed, write to us and we’ll look.

4. When and how you’re paid

• A payment clears 30 days after the family makes it.
• On or around the 15th of each month we pay what has cleared and hasn’t been paid yet, by PayPal, once it reaches $25. Less than that carries over.
• If a payment is refunded or disputed after you were paid for it, that amount comes off your next payment.
• You’re responsible for any taxes on what you earn. If you live in the US, we’ll ask for a W-9 before your payments pass $600 in a calendar year, and we may send you a 1099.

5. How you share Arbor

• Say clearly that you’re an affiliate, every time you share your link, as the FTC requires. For example: “I earn a commission if you join through my link.”
• Be honest. Only say what’s true about Arbor, and never make up reviews, results or quotes.
• No spam: no unsolicited messages, and no posting where a group’s or a site’s rules don’t allow it.
• No search ads that bid on Arbor, Arbor Homeschool, or misspellings of them, and no ads, websites or accounts whose name uses them.
• No coupon, deal or cash-back sites, and no paying or rewarding people to sign up.
• Don’t present yourself as Arbor or speak for us.

You may use the images and words on the resources page to promote Arbor while you’re an affiliate. Our name and logo stay ours.

6. Ending or changing the program

You can leave at any time by writing to us. We can end your participation at any time; if it’s for breaking these terms, commissions from the traffic that broke them aren’t paid. Otherwise, we pay what you earned up to the day it ended, on the usual schedule. We may change these terms or the program with 30 days’ notice by email. What you earned before a change stays earned under the terms you earned it.

7. The rest

You’re an independent affiliate, not our employee or agent. Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or lost-profit damages, and our total liability to you is limited to the commissions you’ve earned and haven’t been paid. These terms are governed by the laws of Oregon.
